Doylestown Borough Public Works Department Information The Doylestown Borough Public Works is responsible for the maintenance and construction of the Borough's infrastructure including streets, the storm drainage system, the water distribution system, park and recreation facilities and Borough owned buildings. The head of the department is the Director of Public Works who manages a Foreman, Mechanic, eight full-time Laborers and a number of part-time workers. The Borough possesses an extensive array of vehicles and equipment maintained for the most part in-house by the Borough's Mechanic. This includes the Borough's fleet of nine (9) police vehicles. Among the Public Works Department's "fleet" are three (3) ten ton and three (3) one ton dump trucks, two (2) backhoes, a loader, a paver, several pavement rollers, numerous pick up trucks, two (2) leaf collection machines and ten (10) snow plows. With this equipment the Public Works Department is able to take on a variety of tasks including paving, snow plowing, leaf collection, utility repairs and installations, concrete work, landscaping and grass mowing. Department personnel are fully trained in all of these areas. The Public Works Department facility is located at the end of Harvey Avenue. Related Links
