It is time once again for Doylestown Borough's curbside Leaf Collection Program. As the number of communities that provide this valuable service dwindles, the Borough remains committed to perhaps our most popular program.

To help us provide this service in an efficient and safe manner, we again urge you to follow a handful of simple rules:

Rule #1: Only ever put LEAVES out for collection. NO STICKS, NO BRICKS, AND NO BULKY DEBRIS. Please don't confuse “leaf collection” with “branch pickup”. Leaf collection is only for leaves that can be vacuumed-up by our leaf machines. Branches, rocks and even bricks have on occasion been thrown into these piles, causing great damage to our machines and placing our workers at risk. It is unlawful to place anything other than leaves out for Fall Leaf Collection.

Rule #2: Pile leaves atop the curb in your yard. Place leaves on the grass at the curb edge, but not in the street and gutter (where feasible). Leaves in the street and gutter get wet, block gutter flow, and wash into storm drains causing drainage problems. They are also much more difficult to collect. Where there is room, put the leaves atop the curb and keep them out of the street.

Rule #3: Leaves must be placed out by Monday morning of your scheduled collection weeks. Each service district in the Borough has two collections. If you miss your weeks, you can drop off your bagged leaves at our 300 Harvey Avenue facility.
