Police reports and accident reports can be requested from the police department Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. There is a $15 fee per report, which can be paid using cash, check, or a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover).
Accident reports are generally available within a few days of the crash. However, reportable accidents, where there is an incident of death, injury, or towing, may take up to two weeks to complete.
Anyone requesting a police report must complete a Doylestown Borough Right-to-Know Request Form. This form is available at the police department or by clicking here. All requests must be approved by the Chief of Police and the Borough Manager, who is the Records Custodian. Approved reports are generally available within one to two days of the request. However, the law does allow up to five days for the department to respond to all requests.
